I was having a conversation with someone and she shared a story of a mum who was very bitter that her husband left nothing in her name in his will and she has to depend on her kids for upkeep and allowance. According to the woman, she left her high flying and paying career to raise the kids and the man didnt deem it fit to leave anything in her name in his will.
Her kids are taking care of her but she finds it insulting that she has to depend on them for upkeep.

I asked a guy in our group and he said that
‘Properties can be purchased in the name of husband and wife. (In his opinion ). Whatsoever we do, we do it for the benefit of ourselves and the children’.
Another guy said that he purchases all his assets in his wife’s name because if anything should happen to him, he knows that his wife loves his kids and they will be taken care of.
Some prefer to buy in the name of the person that provided the funds.
